new-hope-for-lung-cancer-patients

Koh, who is 79-years-old, was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in 2017. However, Koh accepted an open heart while seeking specialist’s help. He wants to prove that cancer is not the end of life. He was first diagnosed with stage one breast cancer in 2000, but the cancer cells did not spread through the body and she is fully recovered from breast cancer due to the early treatment.

Koh underwent chemotherapy and he experienced a few side effects such as dry skin and itching.  Surprisingly, Koh did not experience any side effects compare to chemotherapy when she started to receive immunotherapy treatment and it does not cause any hair loss or dry skin. Besides, Koh thinks that immunotherapy is very effective and it provides comfort to her body, and it gives new light to a better quality of life to the cancer patients especially women at the same time.

According to Clinical Oncologist Dato Dr Mohamed Ibrahim A Wahid, lung cancer is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. One of the main reasons for the increase number of lung cancer deaths is because of the late detection. It is highly recommended for patients with final stage cancer or the patients with platinum-based chemotherapy that no longer provide any positive treatment.
