Beacon Hospital received the prestigious Malaysia Health and Wellness Brand Awards 2017 in the CSR category. This award recognizes the ongoing efforts to give back to the Beacon Hospital initiative and community through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, which has been approved by the Ministry of Health (MOH) and implemented since 2011.
Beacon Hospital has been awarded with the prestigious Malaysia Health and Wellness Brand Awards 2017 for Nursing/Health and Wellness Centre category. This award is endorsed by Ministry of Health (MOH) and it has recognised that Beacon Hospital is the pioneer in the Fracture Liaison Service (FLS) programme in Malaysia and Beacon’s FLS programme is the first in Malaysia to be mapped in IOF map of Best Practise since Sept 2017.
Beacon Hospital’s Fracture Liaison Service (FLS) programme is the first Malaysian FLS programme endorsed by the International Osteoporosis Foundation’s Capture the Fracture, Map of Best Practice with FLS Silver certification. Capture the Fracture is a global programme to facilitate the implementation of coordinated, multidisciplinary models of care for secondary fracture prevention.
Beacon Hospital is the first and only hospital in Malaysia to be accredited for ESMO Designated Centre of Integrated Oncology and Palliative Care for the period of 2018-2023, was re-accredited for 2024-2026. European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), is the leading European professional organisation for medical oncology. The ESMO Designated Centres of Integrated Oncology and Palliative Care accreditation programme was initiated in 2003, in which cancer centres can receive special recognition for achieving a high standard of comprehensive services in supportive and palliative care as part of their routine care.
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center has been recognised as one of the world’s most respected centers devoted exclusively to cancer patient care, research, education and prevention. In 2016, Beacon Hospital’s radiotherapy has been benchmark against MD Anderson standard by the IROC Houston Quality Assurance Center. By successful completion of this requirement, Beacon Hospital is able to be one of the participating sites for international clinical studies.
Beacon Hospital is the Top 5 Best Performer of Data Entry in BEATRICE clinical trial, one of the well-known breast cancer adjuvant therapy clinical trials which involved 37 countries, 360 research sites globally.
Beacon Hospital has been awarded with MyMalaysia Awards 2021 for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), making us the only Private Hospital who has received this award. This award is endorsed by Yayasan Prihatin Nasional (YPN), Federation of Malaysian Business Association (FMBA), Malaysia Literacy in Financial Education Association (MyLIFE) and Pink Ribbon Wellness (L) Foundation (PRWF), and given to us for our exemplary achievements in Corporate Social Responsibility.
Beacon Hospital has been awarded as one of the Top 15 Best Intelligent Figures in 2021. This award is presented to us due to our lovely founder, Mdm Mary Chen’s being a role model for the most outstanding organization leader who is leading our organization’s development and breakthrough, creating outstanding achievements and establishing an important role in the industry.
The Sustainable Development Goals serve as a global call to action to eradicate poverty, safeguard the environment, and enhance the well-being and opportunities of individuals worldwide. The 17 Goals were adopted by all UN Member States in 2015, as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development which outlines a 15-year roadmap to accomplish the Goals.
Beacon Hospital has been honoured with the JCIM Sustainable Development Award for the goal of Good Health & Well Being. This award acknowledges Beacon Hospital’s exemplary efforts in improving healthcare access, enhancing the quality of medical services, and fostering overall well-being within the community, in line with the mission of reducing premature mortality of non-communicable diseases by 2030 through early prevention and detection.
